Harry Potter Scarf: Slytherin and Gryffindor Scarf

For the past 20 years, the world of Harry Potter has seen unprecedented integration into the worlds of books, movies, and Halloween costumes. These outfits, however, are seen far beyond October, as countless lovers of Hogwarts celebrate the debut of Harry Potter books and films by showing up for events and parties dressed as their most favored characters.

And with the final films of the franchise set to be released over the next two years, we can all expect to see wizards and witches outside of October for at least the near future. Furthermore, with the spread of "off-set" reproductions of everyday Harry Potter accessories such as scarves and hats, fans of the franchise can enjoy their favorite Hogwarts looks on any occasion and without the need of a holiday or big screen excuse.

Harry Potter Scarf

Ron, Ginny, Fred, and George Weasley may have to wear their mother's hand-knitted sweaters to keep warm when they're home on holiday, but when they're out playing Quidditch at Hogwarts, they join Harry and the rest of the House of Gryffindor in sporting the scarf and hat available here in trademark Gryffindor scarlet and gold with embroidered Gryffindor crest.

Why ruin a great costume on a cold Halloween night by covering it with cold-weather accessories that don't match the outfit? With the Gryffindor scarf and hat, you can stay warm by layering yourself in authentic Harry Potter accessories. Diehard fans, meanwhile, won't need a Halloween holiday excuse to sport this set, as all products are made from quality, insulated materials to keep you warm-holiday or not.

Men's Cashmere Scarf

One item that should be in the fashionable man's wardrobe is the men's cashmere scarf. While the stereotype might be that real men don't wear scarves, the reality is that it can be cold and men need to stay healthy and warm no matter what the weather. The result? Gorgeous scarves that look great on men.

Men's cashmere scarves come in vivid but subdued colors and stick fairly closely to the basic color groups. No periwinkle blue or azure. Instead, there will be various shades of blues, greens, reds, oranges, and yellows... but all fairly safe. After all, there simply isn't the variety of color in men's clothes that there are in women's clothes. And men's scarves fit the bill.

If you are man buying a men's cashmere scarf for yourself or you are a woman thinking about buying a scarf for your man, how do you know what to get? One benefit of the man's wardrobe - especially the business suit - is that they so often come in black or dark blue. And many colors work well with both.

If you do get men's scarves that are patterned, find ones that are not pattered with too large of a pattern: a very small check or a thin stripe will do the trick nicely. Because these scarves are primarily only worn outdoors (unlike women's scarves which can be typically worn indoors or outdoors), you don't have to do a lot of matching because these scarves will often be worn with a fairly plain, usually dark colored coat.

Here is my favorite men's scarf that I recommend to you:

Tips for Choosing Men's Scarves

When we are mentioning scarves, we always think they are women's ornaments. But in fact, nowadays, wearing scarf is not women's patent anymore and a growing number of men also choose the little item to show their charms. Then what should men notice when they selecting a suitable scarf?

1. Scarf Color.

Personally speaking, I think the following matches are appropriate. If the man wears white shirt, he should choose a light gray scarf. This matching makes the guy quite steady and mature. If a guy is wearing an intense purple outfit, he can get a white or blue scarf with little dots. And he will look so fashionable and lively. In a word, the colors should get distinguished.

2. Styles of scarves.

Just like women's scarves, designers have designed so many scarves styles for men. Long scarves are the most common ones. They are fitted for casual occasions. The biggest advantage is that it can be paired with any clothing. Both jeans and slacks can be men's choices. In addition, no matter what shoes you are wearing, you can find the fitted scarf to match.

Another style is short triangular scarf. I do think it is more appropriate for the individual with distinct personality. Musicians or artists can select this scarf as accessories. Of course, there are no fixed rules. If you think the short triangular scarf does suit yourself, you can just have a try and show your difference.

3. Patterns printed in the scarf.

I think this is the most insignificant respect. Everyone has his own tastes; therefore, he can just get the scarf with his favorite patterns and display his charms. But here I want to mention that the stylish patterns in this year are the leopard designs. If you are a fashionista, you should visit the boutique and find out the trendy scarves.

4. Materials of the scarf.

Silk scarf has been the rage for quite a long time. Besides, the wool, fleece and knitted shawls are very popular in these years. Thus, the trend followers should try them out. The above information is my tips for you to choose men's scarves. To draw a conclusion, the colors, styles, patterns and materials of scarves are the four vital factors. If you are going to buy a men's scarf, I do hope that these tips are helpful to you.

Men's Scarf Tying Guide

Once the gentlemen’s scarf was just draped sadly round the neck, barely visible beneath the buttoned-up overcoat, unless its owner was Rupert Bear or Dr. Who. But metrosexual man has put a stop to that. He’s wrapping and twisting and looping with abandon. And it’s nothing to do with the cold.

Suddenly the debate has exploded: “Just what is the right way for a man to wear a scarf?” The question was posed by a reader who inquired why half of young men were wearing their scarves knotted like women. A man’s scarf should be worn inside his overcoat and exposed an inch above the collar, with the tie on view. And the response to this mild observation? In short: Get knotted.

There is no other way now; this is a major revolution. Everyone is knotting. Scarves are just so long now, you’d be tripping over them otherwise. Is knotting too feminine? People will just have to take a view depending on the person. Even the established Savile Row tailor Gieves & Hawkes admits time has moved on.

The classic drape was immensely popular to bring some breakage of color with your lapel, said our friend with the tape measure. And with a silk scarf, really, that’s the only way to wear it. But for a woolen scarf, it’s perfectly acceptable for men to loop and knot. Gareth Scourfield, the fashion editor of Esquire magazine, admits that men may be influenced by their wives and girlfriends. But it has allowed men to wear scarves in a much more creative way.

Below are some examples of how men wear scarves nowadays:

Let’s face it, men don’t have as many exciting clothes to play with as women. Nick Foulkes, the author and self-confessed “dandy” and style guru, said: The scarf is a sartorial flourish. It’s the early 21st century equivalent of the bold linings worn by 1980s estate agents.
